Stamping with Chalk

Good Afternoon!
Today's cards (yes cards..) are still my "beginner" cards but these are the first two I made with chalk. Chalking is probably one of my favorite techniques. I hate to admit this, but I'm an adult and I LOVE to color... so chalking sort of lets me do just that. Chalking is really very easy. All you need is a "Versamark" pad, and some chalks. Before I was introduced to Stampin' Up!'s chalks I used the ones I got from the local stamp store. Wal-mart also carried some for a little while, but they don't anymore.
First you stamp your image in versamark ink, then apply chalk colors in the area you want using q-tips. Once image is completely colored you can heat set it with your heat gun, or you can spray it with AquaNet. This helps keep the chalk from smearing.

Hope you enjoy! I'll see you tomorrow!

Shelly,
I love these! Especially the beach one! I have never tried that technique yet. I guess I will have to. Enjoy your day.
