Get Well Soon

Good Afternoon! Today's post is a Get Well Soon card I made for my bloggin' friend Michelle. Her husband has been really sick lately and I wanted to send him something letting him know that I was thinking about him and praying for him. Hope he likes it. The cardstock I've had forever. I thought it was the ugliest blue...and turns out it's pretty close to the "Cool Carribean" that Stampin' Up sold. Now that it's "all the rage" it doesn't look that bad to me. Lol. Funny how things change. The envelope is just a regular bill paying envelope that I dressed up to match the card.

Hope you enjoy and I'll see ya tomorrow!

Halloween Treat!

Good Afternoon!

Hope you are enjoying your 3 day weekend! Sorry my posts have been so short lately. I've been working like a mad woman to get my online store going. I'm getting closer :) Today's post is a Post-It Note holder all decked out for Halloween. We don't celebrate Halloween at my house, so it's a bit of a stretch for me.. but I think it turned out pretty cute. It looks a lot better than it did in my head and that's a rare occurance. LOL.

Hope you enjoy and I'll see ya tomorrow!

6 x 3's

Good Evening

Today's post is another 6 x3 card. Are you tired of these yet? I think they are so cute and to get 4 from a sheet of paper instead of 2 makes me smile! That's it for today. Hope you enjoy and I'll see ya tomorrow!

Just Because

Good Evenin'

Betcha thought I was never gonna post didn'tcha? I HAD to watch Big Brother.. it's double eviction night of course... Let me tell ya it was a good one! Then I had to go and put gas in my truck and do grocery shopping. Ugh. AND, I have to work on Monday. I guess that's why they call it "Labor" day. When I was a kid I thought Labor day meant that all the pregnant women went into labor. Hahaha.

On to the card. It's really simple. It's a 6 x3 card. It was the first time I got to use my water color crayons. I love them. I think I'll be using them a lot more often now. I don't usually buy stamps to color them in, so I'll have to get some of those. The sentiment is from Clear Dollar Stamps. I got it a long time ago in the Michael's dollar bin.

Hope you enjoy and I'll see ya tomorrow!

Christmas Cards

Good Evening;

Tonight's post is a picture of one of the Christmas cards I'm thinking about doing this year. I received my Sizzix System Converter in the mail yesterday. Oh my gosh! How did I ever live without that thing? I knew that it was coming, so while I was in the LSS the other day I picked up this cute wreath from Cuttlebug. It's a die and embossing folder. Let me just say.... LOVE IT!!! I plan on going back soon to get some more. These are so much fun! I was greatly saddened to see that my Fiskars texture plates wouldn't go through my Sizzix though. So I'm gonna have to break down and get another machine. I was reading on SCS lastnight that they would go through a pasta maker, so I might go that route. I don't know...

Hope you enjoy and I'll see ya tomorrow!

Notebooks

Good Evening!

Tonight's post is a picture of the notebooks I've made for my hubby. I made him a composition notebook, but he said it was too fancy to use as scratch paper. I then made him the notebook you see on the right, but then he said it was too girly with the ribbon on it. So I finally told him to pick out the designer paper (giving him 3 options) so I could make one he would like. The notebook on the left is the one he chose. He's actually even using it! I had to sneak it away to take a picture of it. I guess the 3rd time is a charm. :)

As you've noticed, I've changed my blog a little bit. Nothing too severe, just wanted a more professional looking scheme. I've also added a link to my store. Shelly's Shoppe. It's in the upper right hand corner. I will be working on getting some items posted over there as well.

Hope you enjoy and I'll see ya tomorrow!

One Sheet Box Tutorial

I found the lady's blog where I learned how to make it. You can find it here. I will also do a video on this as soon as I can figure out how to get my camera to shoot more than 6 minutes. Thanks for stopping by!

Thinking of you

Good Afternoon!

Today's post is really simple. I used the CTMH card confidence program again. I recommend you get one. It does everything for you but choose the colors. It gives you the lay out, the dimensions for each piece, shows a "sketch" and an actual card. I absolutely love it.

Hope you enjoy and I'll see ya tomorrow!

One Sheet Box, and a pic of my baby

Good Afternoon!

Today's post is a One Sheet Box. I'm sorry I can't remember the site I learned it on. I thought I had it bookmarked, but when I went to find it... it wasn't there. If this is your box, PLEASE comment on it so I can give you proper credit. If you know who's box this is, please also leave a comment. I need to find it again so I can make more of them. :) The second picture is the inside of the box... and it's bigger than it looks. It measures 4 1/2 x 3. The first picture is the outside of the box. Nothin' fancy, just wanted to see if I could do it.

The next picture is a picture of my baby Jasmine. She's really the cutest dog in the whole world, but I'm not biast or anything ;) She's got such a personality. She has decided to adopt my Eeyore slipper and call it her own. She goes EVERYWHERE with that thing... I just snapped this picture of her as I was writing my blog. Isn't it darling? She is by far my favorite thing to photograph :)
Hope you enjoy and I'll see ya tomorrow!

Criss-cross card

Good Saturday Afternoon!

Hope you are enjoying your weekend. Today's card is a criss-cross card. It was so easy to make, but looks harder than it is. Head on over the the Splitcoaststampers website to check out the tutorial. I thought this would be a fun card to send to friends. In making some of my projects I realize that I am needing more and more products, so my once tiny wish list is getting bigger and bigger. I had originally thought I could live without the tag punch, but now after making this card I realize I HAVE to have it. Anyone else feel this way?

Hope you enjoy and I'll see ya tomorrow! I'm off to go add to my wish list.

Money Holder

Good Evening!

Today's post is a money holder. Isn't it cute? It is so fast. Head on over to Dawn's Stampin' Thoughts blog on the right hand side of my blog and check out the video. It is SUPER easy to make. I finally cut into my first peice of Stampin' Up DSP. I used Cutie Pie for this project. I'll be honest, I've been hoarding the stuff... and afraid to use it because it was retiring and I thought that if I used it... I wouldn't have it anymore. I'm slowly coming around though. The trick is to make 2 of everything. You get to keep a copy for yourself, and give the other one away.

Hope you enjoy and I'll see ya tomorrow!

Mini book and a RAK

Good Evening;

Today's post is going to be very short. I'm not feeling up to par... but wanted to get something new on here so here I am. The first project is a mini book I made. I had the intention of putting pictures of the church kids in it, because I consider them my babies, but when I actually went through pictures I couldn't find any of the kids! I did find some really cute pictures of my sisters and I, so I turned it into a gift for my mom. I hope she'll like it.

The second picture is a RAK I received all the way from Canada. She did a great job and I love it. Thanks Joan!

Post It Note Holders

Good Evening!

Today's post has 2 post-it note holders, and a 3x3 card. I was on a roll lastnight. I think that might be the most projects I've created in one night. Ha! These are really fun and easy to make once you get the template down. I need some velcro for closures, but other than that they are done. I'm thinking that this might be one of my Christmas gifts.

Hope you enjoy and I'll see ya tomorrow!

Gift card and a RAK

Good Evening!

Today's post is fun. I learned how to make this gift card holder by watching Dawn's Stampin' Thoughts videos. You can check out a link to her blog on the right hand side of my blog. I know it's getting closer to Thanksgiving and Christmas.. however, I don't have any of those DSP papers yet, so I had to go with an Easter theme. Isn't it so cute? I love it. So easy to make. I've gotta get me a word window punch!

This next card is the RAK I received from Nikki Woodmancy. Her card is so cute. I think she used dew drops on the flower.. not sure what those are called, but they are darling! I received her card as a Welcome RAK.

Hope you enjoy and I'll see ya tomorrow!

Saddle Book from Stampin' Up!

Good Evening;

Today's post is the saddle book that Stampin' Up! sells. I thought it would be fun to do a project without having to "think" about it. This was the perfect opportunity. I plan to fill it with pictures of either a wedding or anniversary and giving it as a gift. It was a li'l tricky to figure out but once I did, it just came together. I also worked on some more frames for nameplates, and will show pictures of that later.

Hope you enjoy and I'll see ya tomorrow!

ABC Book

Good Evening!

Today's post is an ABC Book. I borrowed the set that is in the SU catalog. I colored each image, attached it to a different color background sheet then laminated it. I used my crop-a-dile to make the hole to put the ring through. Next time I make one of these, I will definitely make it a little bit bigger. This one would be great to put in a bag to keep the kids busy. You can use a dry erase marker and practice writing the letters on the lines below.

Hope you enjoy and I'll see ya tomorrow!

Thanksgiving Place Cards

Good Evening;

I had asked that you give me ideas of what you wanted to see.... and someone mentioned place cards. My family doesn't use these, but I thought "what a challenge". This is my first attempt, and I will definitely do it again. I got these little frames from the dollar store. 6/pkg. I stocked up on them because I knew they would be a lot of fun. I went again today to get some more, and the dollar store near me is closing, so most everything was 50% off... which meant .5o cents per package... my husband was in the living room when I got home and said "WHOA!"... yeah I was busted, no hiding it this time. I've learned a couple of tricks of how to cut out the middle, so next time it won't be so "wonky" is that even a word?

Hope you enjoy and I'll see ya tomorrow!

Sour Cream Containers

Hi!

I've been trying to shoot a video for these sour cream containers, but so far no luck. I thought I did pretty good on the first take... but as I was watching it I heard this "CRUNCH.........CRUNCH.......Crunch" and realized my dog was in the background chewing on a bone. The 2nd take, was a little bit better, I locked her in the bedroom with daddy... however, next thing you heard was howling. So... I'm going to be shooting this weekend while daddy takes the doggie outside ;)

Hope you enjoy and I'll see ya tomorrow!

Notepad

Good Evening!

Sorry I'm posting so late. I had to get my truck fixed, and then went grocery shopping. Guess what I got today?! A TRIPOD BABY!!! I can now do videos more effeciently. I'm SO excited. Trying to rush through this post so I can go do videos. I'm planning on doing a video for each post (previously posted) and then doing one each time I make a post. I know... I'm putting a lot of pressure on myself, but I want to be successful, and I can't do that without a little pressure now can I?

So, on to today's post. It's a notebook. I know you've seen them before, but I was inspired by the card I made the day before, and wanted a notebook to match. I ended up messing up the flower on the front by trying to "fix" it. Have you ever done that? Try to "fix" something, and then make it worse? But it's going to be for my desk, so it's all good.

Hope you enjoy and I'll see ya tomorrow. Off to shoot videos! Woohoo!

Thanksgiving Card for last year

Good Afternoon!

Today's post is actually a card I made last year. I was asked to teach a class at my LSS and this was the best thing I could come up with. I used markers to color the pumpkin and the "Happy Thanksgiving" I also used my crimper. I LOVE that thing.

I'm kinda falling into a slump again... need inspiration. I search several blogs daily, and stalk SCS, but nothing is jumping out at me right now. I need your help! What would you like to see more of? Is there something in particular you would like to see me shoot a video tutorial for? Would you like to be able to purchase the things that you've seen on my blog so far? Please leave me a comment, so that I know how to be a better blogger for you. This blog is all about you folks! Don't be shy!
I hope you enjoyed today's post and I'll see ya tomorrow!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Good Afternoon!

Today's my birthday and I thought I'd do something fun! I LOVE the Island Blossoms set. I thought this would be so much fun to make.. I love it. I'm thinking of doing this as one of the cards for sale. What do you think?

Hope you enjoy and I'll see ya tomorrow!

Boxes

Good Afternoon!

Today's post is a box found on page 49 of the NEW Stampin' Up Catalog! I found the template in a thread at the SCS forums. It is SUPER easy. I will be making this for my next video. I know I said I'd do the diaper card, but I think the boxes would be more fun. They end up at about 2x2'. The scallop punch works great for a box topper. Easy easy!

Hope you enjoy and I'll see ya tomorrow!

Only 4 and 1/2 months til Christmas!

Good Evening!

Today's post is another Christmas card I made. I case'd the design from Angie over at Chic-n-scratch. I love how it turned out. I used the retired Cranberry Crisp paper, and the retired DSP that went with it. Very easy once I had an idea of which stamp I wanted to use.

I have a question for you. Would you like to see my cards for sale? I am thinking about selling some cards, but wanted to make sure there is a market for them before I begin. Leave a comment here or send an email (delicatedesignsbyshelly@gmail.com) and let me know. Also, please let me know what you'd like to see more of. Thanks!

Hope you enjoy and I'll see ya tomorrow!

Birthday RAK

Hi Again!

I just received my first RAK, and it was a Birthday RAK. I wanted to post a quick Thank you to Yvonne for sending me a beautiful card!

This picture doesn't really do it justice... and it's dark outside so I will take a better picture tomorrow. Thanks again!

Rain, rain, go away... come again another day!

Good Afternoon folks!

Today's post is a lil pocket book I made for my "scraps". I learned this from watching Dawn's video here. Basically what it is, is a pouch for my scallops that I cut too many of, or circle punches etc. I'm planning on turning them into card candy eventually.

Hope you enjoy and I'll see ya tomorrow!

Diaper fold treat boxes

Good Evening Stampers!

Today's post is something I learned how to do today! I learned it from the tutorial found on SCS here. I made one in 4 different sizes just to show you how versitle they are. I haven't quite got the folding down just yet so some of them are obvisously crooked *sigh* but hey, we're learning right? I'm thinking this might be my next video.

Hope you enjoy and I'll see ya tomorrow!

Altering a coaster

Good Evening; Sorry this is so late. After waiting an hour and a half to upload this video I decided to change how I uploaded it. Grrrrrrrrr!

Ok, so here's my disclaimers.
1.) I had just gotten off work and forgot I had my uniform on. Please ignore the shirt, as I am in no way representing this company. This is for educational purposes only.
2.) I am no longer affiliated with Stampin' Up even though you may see my SU grid paper.
3.) This is my first video. I was praticing to see if I would be too nervous, or if my voice would shake etc..... It actually turned out ok, and so I decided to share with you all. I know it's a little boring "altering a coaster" but wait til I'm comfortable shooting videos and you'll have a blast. Please be kind with your comments. :)

Hope you enjoy today's tutorial! I promise, they will get better! As a side note, I am getting a tripod next week for my birthday, so there will be no more bouncing when the dog decides to jump on the couch ;)

Grrrrrrr Technical Difficulties

Hi!

I'm trying to upload my post for today, and once again, Blogger is giving me problems. As soon as it lets me post I will. I hate to disappoint you.. so when it lets me post, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised! :) Stay tuned!

Frames, frames and more frames!

Good Afternoon!
I love picture frames. I like to find all kinds of unique ones. Let's just say I have a lot of picture frames. We just moved, and I already have 2 book cases full of them on display, and still haven't unpacked them all yet. I'm telling you this because my hubby said I couldn't buy anymore frames. He says I have too many. So what's a crafty girl to do? I'll tell you! She finds a loop hole! I got these mats at Wal-mart (my favorite store) for 50 cents! I picked up a bunch because I knew I could alter them, I just hadn't done it yet. I decided today is the day! I grabbed a piece of DSP and went to town. I loved making this frame and after ruining one sheet of DSP I finally got the dimensions right. It looked easier on tv............here are the dimensions. If you use a 5x7 mat, your DSP should be 6x8. An inch bigger on both sides. Place your mat face down on the DSP in the middle of the paper and it will leave a 1/4'' border. Place adhesive on the front side of your mat. Cut out the center, fold it over, add embelishments and done! Easy peasy!

Hope you enjoy and I'll see ya tomorrow!

Ps. Be looking for videos starting next weekend! I'm getting the stuff I need for my birthday. So hopefully I will be doing videos next weekend WOOOHOOO!!!

Thank you!

Good Afternoon!

I'm hoping that blogger will allow me to upload pictures today. Lastnight I had a somewhat original idea for a card. I couldn't believe it. It was like I was watching myself make this card. I knew it was impressive when I showed my husband and he says "Wow! Very Nice Honey!" (and he wasn't being sarcastic lol) So, here's the story behind this one. I thought I was using a "Love ya" sentiment... it wasn't until I was done that I realized I was using "Thank You". Guess I"m stuck on Thank you cards eh? I used my oval shaped coluzzle template and the stamps are Clear Dollar Stamps. The paper is part of a designer paper package I got from Wal-mart. I *hate* using yellow on cards, it's my worst color... for some reason I can never make it look as good as everyone else does. This however, turned out ok. I actually *like* it!

Hope you enjoy and I'll see ya tomorrow!

Trouble with Blogger

I do have a post waiting to show up... but Blogger will not let me add the photo. As soon as it allows me to upload, I will post again. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Birthday Wishes

Good Afternoon! (This was suppose to be yesterday's post....)

Today's post is actually a swap I received a few years ago. My birthday is next Tuesday and I thought it would be fun to post some birthday cards. Isn't this a neat way to use scraps? Her card base is 4x4 using the canvas stamp. Then she just took 2 x 1 inch strips, wheeled over them to give them a lil jazz, and attached them to the back to make the bow. How cool is that? I would have never thought to do something like this. Here's a card that will really make you think twice about throwin' away some scraps!

Hope you enjoy and I'll see ya tomorrow!

Holiday cards in August

Good Afternoon!

Holiday cards in August.... oy! I saw everyone putting holiday cards on their blogs in July and I thought to myself.. if I ever start a blog I won't do holiday cards until the month of the holiday. Boy that didn't last to long. I was watching Angie's card of the week tutorials lastnight trying to get inspired to come up with something fun.. and this is what came to me. I've always thought the scallop punch looked like a wreath to me, so this was the perfect way to use it as such. I've even told my husband it is a candidate for this year's Christmas cards. It is SUPER easy. Take a 12x12 piece of paper and a 3 inch strip off. Then score that strip at 6. Take your scallop punch and punch out the scallop near the top. Add the sentiment from the Circle of Friends stamp set, add ribbon and sentiment on the front and your done! Start to finish was about 5 minutes.

Hope you enjoy and I'll see ya tomorrow!

Thank You!

Good Afternoon!

Ok, one thing you should know about me is, when I make something I like, I mass produce it until I'm bored. So please bear with me as you are about to see a repeat card. :) I like these cards right now because they are different from the "norm"... and I like to try and be unique. However, another fun fact about me is... I'm a follower not a leader. I made this card with the leftovers from the baby tin. It's not one of my favorites, but it will be in my stash should I need an emergency "thank you" card.

Hope you enjoy and I'll see ya tomorrow!

Now that I'm looking at it... I really think I should have left the bow off.. Oh well.

Goodies!

Good Afternoon!

So lastnight I had a great time with my friend. We went shopping and I spent about 4 hours lurking around crafty stuff. Here's what I got... from the $1 store... 6pk of photo frames to alter, mini clipboard, and 3 buckets, more coasters. Then I went to wal-mart, where I got my first bottle of modge podge, and 5 yes 5 cuttle kids dies on clearance! They were the 4pk dies. (I use the cuttle kids for now, until I can justify buying a bigger machine... we'll see how that goes) I also got a baseball card collector album to put my dies in and I plan to alter it. I'd love to take pics of all my goodies right now.... but what hubby doesn't know won't hurt him ;)

I also received my trade from Splitcoaststampers... Circle of Friendship. Be on the lookout for future photos using all of these supplies!

Hope you enjoy and I'll see ya tomorrow!
