CASE

Hi Folks! Sorry I've been gone so long. The next few weeks are going to be quite busy for me, so I'll try and post when I can. Sorry it hasn't been daily like I promised in my first few posts, but I will keep it updated. Tonight's card is a CASE from Cindy Lawrence. You can view her blog on the right hand side of my blog. This is a card she made yesterday. I changed everything except for the layout. Hope you enjoy!

Hello!

Tonight's card is very easy. The base is a standard size card. I ran it through my sizzix with the CB folder. I cut a strip of DSP 5 1/2 by 1 1/2 and then the purple strip is an 5 1/2 x 1. The purple diamond is 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 and then the image itself is 2x2. This could be really dressed up with ribbons and embellishments but I chose to leave it plain. Hope you enjoy!

Card Organizer

Good Evenin' folks! Tonight's post is a picture of a card organizer I'm working on. I didn't want to have to stamp the top portion of the "folder" so I used double sided designer paper. It's not done yet, but it's getting close. Hope you like it!

Baby card

This is a baby shower invitation I made for a friend a few years ago. She didn't know if she was having a boy or a girl, so I did both colors. I really like how it turned out. It's very simple, but also elegant. In this picture the baby's clothes aren't colored, but when I mailed them I colored some blue and some pink.

Thank you card

Hi Ya'll! I'm back from visiting my mom. We had a great visit, but of course the weekend was too short. Today's card is a Thank you card I made for my husband. He didn't want me to tell you that I made it for him, but he definitely deserved it. I practically had him on a bell... and he deserved a nice thank you. I won't tell you what's on the inside... that's private :) Anyway I hope you like it and I will be using this as a template for other cards. See ya tomorrow!

This is a post it note holder I made for my friend Sherri. I used the Cutie Pie Designer Paper from Stampin' Up. I cut out the "S" from a photo mat I had and popped it up on pop-dots.

Update

Hi All;

Thank you so much for your kind words and well wishes. I wanted to give you an update. I am able to sit up now for about half an hour before getting sore. Unfortunately that's not enough time for me to create something fabulous. Just a couple days prior to my injury I was thinking of stamping a few images to "color while watching tv" but I hadn't actually done it yet. I'm *so* glad I inherited the procrastination gene from my mother. :) Needless to say, I didn't stamp them thinking I always had tomorrow to stamp. Now here it is a week later and I can't do anything stamping related... It greatly saddens me. Once I'm better there will be no more procrastinating! I will create an "Emergency injury kit" so that I can always do something crafty.

Thanks again for all your kindness. It has warmed my heart to see that you all care. Hopefully I will be back soon! Until next time...................

Shelly

Hello all you stampin' peeps...this is Shelly's husband. Shelly will not be posting on her website for the next few days (as you have already probably noticed) as she hurt her back and is flat on the floor for the next little while. Being as I have zero stamping experience...I don't think I should put up some grade 2 items and insult all of your stamping expertise =). Please bear with Shelly as she recuperates over the next couple of days and I am sure she will be back posting soon!

Let It Snow Let it Snow Let it Snow

Good Evening; Tonight's post is another Christmas card I've been working on. I can't remember where I saw the sketch but it had a square focal point and I wanted a rounded one. I'm not crazy with how it turned out, but I still think its cute.

Mini backpack

Ok, I caved. I made one. I couldn't quite figure out the template, so what I did was made Angie's Blessing box and then made the topper to go over it. I would LOVE to watch a video on how to do this. If anyone knows of one, please leave me a comment so I can learn how to make them better, then I can teach you! :)

Hope you had a great day! Tomorrow's Friday Wooooooooohoooooooooo!

Prayer card

Good Evening;

A lot of people I know have need extra special prayers sent up this week. The sentiment actually says "Sometimes PRAYER is the only gift we can give one another." I decided I wanted Prayer to be my main focus, and then use the full sentiment on the inside of the card. Of course just as I was about to post the card... my inky fingers touched the sentiment and smudged it. Grrrrrr. I tried to photoshop it out, but I couldn't get it to work....

Personal Record

Good Evening!

Tonight's post is late... I know... I'm sorry but it's Big Brother night! Only a couple more weeks before it's over. Tonight's card was created start to finish in 17 minutes. WOOHOO! I've never made a card that fast... (without having help) I absolutely love it. Frosty is popped up on pop dots and so is the sentiment. I used a small piece of ribbon to tie it all together. The background is done with the CB folder D'vine Swirls. Isn't it cute?

So yesterday I called myself plain Jane. Today I was informed that I'm not plain Jane... I'm CAS (Clean and Simple) which by the way sounds way cooler than plain Jane. So call me CASS (Clean and Simple Shelly)

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see ya tomorrow!

I really do have something to show....

I just can't show it until Friday. :( It's my mom's birthday card and I can't share it until she gets it. However, I do have some good news. My friend Sherri made the Design team for Firecracker Designs by Pamela. It's a stamp company I've never heard of. I checked out the site... and I'm impressed. PLUS she's only been stamping for 3 months.... 3 months!!!!!!!! Can you believe it?! When I saw her cards my jaw dropped. I've been stamping for 5 years and I am not that good. Or at least I don't think I am. I think I'm pretty plain Jane. So with that said, please check out Sherri's blog. Stamping Serenity. It's on the right hand side of my blog.

I've had a couple of people ask me about the store. No you didn't miss a post. It's something I've been working on behind the scenes. I've got the pricing done... and I hope it's not so low that I'm giving it away, but I wanted it low enough that people will purchase the items. I've also got the pictures taken. I am in the process of cropping & editing them. THEN of course comes the blogging part that I don't totally understand... getting posts to stay in the order that I want them. Everything I added last night kept pushing my welcome message to the very bottom. So, once I finish working out the kinks I will be in business! I was soooo hoping to have it go live today for Labor Day and have specials and all sorts of fun stuff, but sadly I failed. Here's hoping I have it done soon.

Now that I've rambled on long enough. I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you that I really do appreciate all your comments and visits. It warms my heart to see that you all enjoy my posts and think my stuff is really cute. I am my own worst critic so when someone comments on something I thought was hideous, it makes me feel a whole lot better. THANK YOU SO MUCH for visiting me today! Please come back and see me again tomorrow.
